Bernard Ilsley - The London Medium - Writer, Producer, Performer.
About Bernard Ilsley
For more than four decades, Bernard Ilsley has worked professionally as a medium, giving private readings, public demonstrations and theatre appearances across the United Kingdom and the United States. Known professionally as The London Medium, he has built a distinctive career at the intersection of mediumship, public performance and the unexplained.
His journey has been anything but conventional. From an early fascination with the unseen, his life developed into a career that has taken him into theatres, radio and television studios, historic houses, private homes and some quite unexpected corners of society. Over the years, I have read for people from every walk of life, and my work has acquired an almost legendary aura around some of the unusual people, places and experiences that have crossed my path.
Known professionally as The London Medium, my approach has always remained very simple. I believe that mediumship should be direct, natural and sincere. I have never wanted to tell people what they should believe. I simply share what I experience and allow them to make up their own minds.
My career has included appearances on British television and radio, public events throughout the UK and performances in America, including California and the East Coast. Alongside my public work, I have continued to give private consultations to clients internationally.
Many of the extraordinary encounters and experiences from my life have also found their way into my writing.
My first book, Divinus Spiritus, explores mediumship, spirit communication and some of the remarkable events that have shaped my understanding of the unseen world. Its companion volume, Ultra Velum, goes further beyond the veil into history, symbolism, ancient ideas, extraordinary coincidences and the people and places that have become part of a much larger story.
After more than four decades, I remain as fascinated by these subjects as I was at the beginning.
There are still questions to be asked, mysteries to explore, and perhaps most importantly, doors that have not yet been opened.

Dear Bernard, thank you so much for my reading. It made me feel much, much better. Thank you also for the reading last year. It was dead on, and Aphrodite did send her arrows! Thank you for cheering me up. With best wishes.

Dear Bernard, I called into Star 99.9 and I just have to say thank you. We were able to ask one question, and it meant the world to me that you were able to connect with who I was hoping would come through. That day was one of the best days I have had in a long time. You helped me find peace. Thank you again. You have such a gift, and I thank you for choosing to use it to help other people.

I wanted to write to thank you for my previous lives reading. I finished listening to it this lunchtime and I am overwhelmed and cannot thank you enough. I listened very carefully to all that you said. Perhaps the full impact has not really sunk in yet.
