About Bernard Ilsley
For more than four decades, Bernard Ilsley has worked professionally as a medium, giving private readings, public demonstrations and theatre appearances across the United Kingdom and the United States. Known professionally as The London Medium, his career has brought together mediumship, public performance and a lifelong fascination with the unexplained.
His journey has been anything but conventional. From an early fascination with the unseen, Bernard’s work has taken him into theatres, radio and television studios, historic houses and private homes, as well as into the lives of people from every walk of life.
Throughout his career, his approach to mediumship has remained simple: direct, natural and sincere. Bernard has never sought to tell people what they should believe. Instead, he shares what he experiences and allows each person to reach their own conclusions.
Bernard has appeared on British and American television and radio, alongside public appearances and theatre performances throughout the United Kingdom and the United States, including California and the East Coast. Alongside his public work, he continues to give private consultations to clients internationally.
Many of the extraordinary people, places and experiences encountered throughout Bernard’s life have also found their way into his writing.
His book Divinus Spiritus explores mediumship, spirit communication and a remarkable collection of experiences that have shaped his understanding of the unseen world.
Its companion volume, Ultra Velum: Beyond the Veil, ventures further into mediumship, history, symbolism, ancient ideas, extraordinary coincidences and the people and places that have become part of a much larger story.
After more than four decades, Bernard remains as fascinated by these subjects as he was at the beginning.
There are still questions to be asked, mysteries to explore and, perhaps most importantly, doors that have yet to be opened.
